Game Changer movie starring Ram Charan released on January 10, 2025. However, months after the release of the movie, it has once again hit the headlines due to the latest statements made by producer Dil Raju and his cousin Shirish Reddy. The movie was directed by Shankar and fans had high hopes from the film. However, the film did not perform well at the box office. It was Dil Raju’s ambitious movie, however, it did not meet the commercial success that he desired. Now, in a recent interview, Dil Raju has spoken about the financial strain the film created.
Dil Raju speaks on Game Changer’s disappointing box office business
In a latest interview with actor Nithiin, Dil Raju spoke about Ram Charan’s movie and stated that he realised the film is going to damage him ‘financially’. He was quoted saying, “I started realising that the film releasing on January 10 (Game Changer) was going to damage me financially. Even the distributors were feeling low.”
However, Dil Raju also said that he was confident about the movie Sankranthiki Vasthunnam starring Daggubati Venkatesh that was releasing just four days later. He said that he was confident that the movie will work at the box office. He explained that he gets to know when he is in the editing room whether the movie will work or not. “My only thought was how much this film is going to damage, and how much the other one is going to save,” he said.
What is Shirish Reddy-Ram Charan controversy?
Recently, Shirish Reddy had made a remark stating that Ram Charan did not call after the film Game Changer failed at the box office. This remark sparked massive outrage among Ram Charan’s fans. Later, Sirish Reddy took to his social media account to clarify his remark. He said that he shares a close relationship with Ram Charan’s family and he did not speak in a way that would harm his reputation. He also apologised if his words hurt anyone. Later, Dil Raju defended his cousin Sirish Reddy stating that it was his first time addressing the media and he got emotional. He accepted that may be the choice of words weren’t appropriate but he did not have any malicious intent.
