Dhurandhar First Review: Ranveer Singh’s much-anticipated film Dhurandhar has been making headlines for multiple reasons. From the gripping storyline to Ranveer Singh’s flawless acting and the indelible impact it will leave on the viewers, every reason has been helping the film garner massive attention. Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film Dhurandhar has reportedly sold around 65,000 tickets in top national chains including PVR Inox and Cinepolis, for its premiere day, by Wednesday night.
But going by the high production cost and the cast’s fees, the advance booking figures are lower than expected. But many are expecting a boost in ticket sales as the movie has more hours left for advance bookings.

Well behind the largest openers of this year
In comparison to the leading Bollywood openers of 2024, Dhurandhar’s initial speed is evidently lagging. Chhaava surpassed 17.89 crore in pre-sales, Saiyaara reached 12.49 crore, and War 2 exceeded 32 crore. For Dhurandhar to get near, Thursday reservations must see a significant increase.
Industry forecasts continue to be optimistic yet prudent. Pinkvilla predicts an opening day between 14 and 18 crore. Sacnilk estimates just above 15 crore for Friday. Both predictions rely on a significant final-day effort.
Ranveer’s filmography raises significant anticipation
The film’s box office results are being monitored closely since this marks Ranveer’s comeback in a solo commercial role. His earlier successes established a challenging standard. Padmaavat debuted at 19 crore and concluded with an impressive 585 crore globally. Simmba started with 20.72 crore and concluded with 390 crore worldwide. Even Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, while not an action movie, opened at 11.10 crore and achieved a worldwide total of 357.5 crore.
Friday will determine Dhurandhar’s true performance
With just one day remaining, the film’s debut now relies on last-minute audience attendance. If Thursday night doesn’t bring a significant change, Dhurandhar’s box office path could depend solely on the audience feedback from the initial screenings
