Akshay Kumar‘s starrer comedy entertainer film Housefull 5 has been winning hearts since its release in theaters. The film has been tickling audiences funny bones with their concept. Earlier, the film surpassed Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 and managed to grab the second spot on the list of highest-grossing Bollywood films of the year. Well, now Housefull 5 has achieved another big milestone.

Housefull 5 released in theatres on June 6 and as per the makers the film earned Rs 300 crore at the global box office within 25 days. Slowly nd steadily the film managed to steady its position at the box office. Reportedly, the film collected Rs 200 crore net at the domestic box office and has surpassed Venkatesh’s Sankranthiki Vasthunam which earned Rs 255 crore collection and Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan which collected Rs 265.5 crore collection.

As per reports, Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna’s Chhaava earned Rs 807.88 crore worldwide and Rs 601.54 crore in India. While, Housefull 5 has become the second-highest-grossing Indian film of 2025. Housefull 5 has surpassed Mohanlal’s L2: Empuraan’s lifetime collection which was just behind Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava. The film is directed by Tarun Mansukhani and stars Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan in main roles. The fifth instalment in Sajid Nadiadwala’s successful Housefull franchise also features Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, and Johnny Lever, among others.
The film’s story is about a murder mystery of a wealthy billionaire who gets killed on a cruise ship after announcing he will leave his entire fortune to his successor, Jolly. There are three Jollys on board—played by Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan.
