The latest season of Panchayat web series has managed to become a massive success. Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Sanvikaa and others returned to Panchayat 4 to tell yet another fun and entertaining story revolving around the small village of Phulera. As per reports, Panchayat season 4 has become the most-watched OTT series in India as it clocked 8.8 million views. It managed to beat the thrilling Squid Game season 3 that stood on the second spot. In a latest interview, Jitendra Kumar aka Sachiv Ji has commented on show’s success.
Jitendra Kumar wasn’t sure of Panchayat’s success
A report in News18 has Jitendra Kumar commenting on the success of Panchayat and how he wasn’t expecting it. He stated that the success of all the four season is the reflection of the love and appreciation the series has received from the global audience. He also added that he wasn’t sure whether people would respond positively to the tone of the web series. But they did and stood by the series season after season, said Jitendra Kumar. He also dedicate the success of Panchayat to all the viewers and team. “It’s a collective celebration—not just of the franchise, but of the entire team, and the many talented actors who were recognised and appreciated through this show. Truly, it takes a village to bring Panchayat to life,” he said.
What is Panchayat 4 all about?
The latest season of web series Panchayat revolves around the election in the village of Phulera. It is once again Pradhan Ji vs Banrakas. Kranti Devi becomes the opponent against Manju Devi in the Panchayat election. Both the ladies and their supporters do their best to promote the candidates leading to chaos, laughter, and much drama. Sachiv Ji and Rinki’s love story also find some attention in the latest web series.
Panchayat 5 announced
With the success of Panchayat 4, fans are now eagerly waiting for its next instalment. Sanvikaa has confirmed that Panchayat season 5 is already in the making. In an interview with OTT Play, she shared that the next season could drop mid-next year. The filming is yet to begin but the work on scripting is in progress.
