Dipika Kakar has finally returned home after undergoing liver cancer surgery and was admitted to the hospital for 11 days. Husband Shoaib Ibrahim shares health update.
Popular television actress Dipika Kakar who is a well-known face in the industry has been discharged from the hospital after spending 11 days recovering from her major liver tumour surgery. Shoaib Ibrahim took to his vlog and shared Dipika’s health update with all their fans and well-wishers. Dipika underwent a 14-hour surgery for stage 2 liver cancer and is now stable and is recovering at home. Shoaib revealed, “She got discharged after 11 days and has to come for a check-up after a week. These past few days have been incredibly difficult for me and my family, but we’re thankful for everyone’s prayers and support. This is just one part; a lot of things are still ahead.”
Dipika Kakar discharged from hospital after 11 days
On June 12, Dipika reunited with her son Ruhaan and other family members. In the vlog, Shoaib mentioned that Dipika was first given a liquid diet after surgery and is now eating soft solid food. He even said that all the test reports showed positive signs.
Dipika spoke about her anxiety about the drain pipe removal and said that when they inserted she was not in full sense, but when they will remove it she will be awake. Dipika revealed that the only scary part of the entire surgery was the pipe in the neck. Ruhaan ran around joyfully, seeing his mother, Dipika, as he felt shy. Dipika received a warm welcome from her entire family. Saba gifted her a beautiful flower bouquet, while her mother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and other family members showered her with blessings.
Shoaib even said that Dipika would continue check-ups regularly as her recovery progresses is slow and careful under medical supervision. Shoaib praised the doctors and said that when they got to know that the tumour was malignant, they broke down. The couple expressed deep gratitude for the team’s medical expertise who helped them navigate the overwhelming diagnosis of stage 2 liver cancer with hope.
