Bigg Boss 17 star Mannara Chopra’s father Raman Rai Handa passed away due to age related ailments.
Mannara Chopra’s father, Raman Rai Handa has passed away. He is Priyanka Chopra, Parineeti Chopra‘s uncle and is survived by his wife, Kamini and daughters Mannara and Mitali Handa. A source close to the Handa family told Zoom that he was not well for a few days. He was in Mumbai with his family. As soon as the news came out, many of Mannara’s fans and well wishers have shown their support for her in this difficult time.
Mitali Handa posted a story on Instagram confirming her father’s demise. The family shared a statement about Raman Handa’s demise. The statement read, “With profound grief and sorrow we inform the sad demise of our loving father who left us for his heavenly abode on 16/06/2025. He was the pillar of strength for our family.” The last rites will take place on June 18 at 1 PM at the Crematorium Ground in Amboli, Andheri West, Mumbai.
Raman Rai Handa was a lawyer at the Delhi High Court and was married to Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra’s paternal aunt, Kamini Chopra. The Handa and the Chopra families are very close to each other. We have seen them together during Priyanka’s wedding.
Mannara has been in the news ever since she did Bigg Boss 17. She was the finalist on the show. However, she never mentioned that she is related to Priyanka or Parineeti. Sharing the reason for it, she told Siddharth Kannan that if she would have taken family’s name, they would have called her a nepo kid and would have said that she does not have a personality. She was one of the most talked about contestants on the show and was known for her bond with Munawar Faruqui. She also had many ugly fights with him and also with Ankita Lokhande. Post Bigg Boss, Mannara also did many music videos and was also seen in Laughter Chefs 2 alongside Sudesh Lehri. However, she left the on-going show due to prior commitments. She has done Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada films. She has been a part of movies like Rouge, Anubhav Sinha’s Zid, Prema Geema Jantha Nai, Jakkanna, Thikka and Sita.
