It has been 8 years since Disha Vakani left Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. She played the role of Daya ben in the iconic show and made became synoymous with her character. Post her exit, the makers have failed to find a replacement for her. For the longest time now, fans have been waiting for Daya ben to return to the show but the wait still continues. However, much to the delight of the masses TMKOC is doing well on the TRP chart. Amid the buzz around the show, a picture of Disha Vakani has now viral on the internet and she appears unrecognisable.
Disha Vakani’s latest picture draws attention
A picture of Disha Vakani has hit the internet that shows her posing with her little son. The actress quit the show after she got married to Mayur Padia in the year 2015. Two years post their marriage, the couple welcomed their first child, a baby girl. She took a maternity leave in 2017 and did not return to the show again. Later in 2022, they welcomed their second child, a son. The actress is now a mother of two and busy with her family life. In the picture that has hit the internet, she could be seen dressed in a colourful saree draped in Gujarati style and hair done in a sleek bun. The getup is much like that of Daya ben as she is seen donning heavy jewellery.
The new picture of Disha Vakani has left fans quite nostalgic and emotional. Many are demanding that she returns to the show. Quite a few are surprised to see her transformation. One of the comments read, “I really miss you Daya bhabhi.” Another one wrote, “She is still beautiful and we love her for making our day full of laughter and joy the charater none can change.”
