Kantara: Chapter 1: Rishab Shetty unveils warrior look poster on his birthday, reveals release date

Actor-director Rishab Shetty turns a year older on July 7. To make the occasion even more unforgettable, the Kantara actor unveiled a poster for his upcoming movie Kantara: Chapter 1, in which he looks like a warrior. After production began in 2023, the crew of Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 has seen a lot. Despite all the mishaps and fatalities they have witnessed, he also seemed to indicate that the movie will be released on schedule. Hombale Films and Rishab, the producers of Kantara: Chapter 1, jointly shared the birthday poster on Instagram. The film is anticipated to be one of the year’s best grossing movies, after Kantara made a huge success. Kantara: Chapter 1 is going to be the prequel to the 2022 blockbuster.

Sharing the poster, the production house wrote, “Where legends are born and the roar of the wild echoes…#Kantara – A prequel to the masterpiece that moved millions. Wishing the trailblazing force behind the legend, @rishabshettyofficial a divine and glorious birthday.”
The makers have also revealed the release date of the much awaited prequel- October 2, 2025.
What happened in Kantara Chapter 1 set?
Actor-mimicry artist Kalabhavan Niju passed away from a heart attack in June of this year. Rakesh Poojary, a Kannada comedian and actor, passed away at the age of 33 from a heart attack during a friend’s wedding in May. Prior to it, a 32-year-old junior artist from Kerala named MF Kapil died in the Souparnika River’s cross-current that same month.
A minibus transporting 20 junior artists was involved in an accident near Mudoor in November of last year, but fortunately, none of them were hurt.
Prior to it, a costly set created for Kantara: Chapter 1 was destroyed by intense rain. Rishab and 30 crew members were on a boat that overturned in June, but they were unharmed.
