Dipika Kakar recently got diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. She underwent a surgery to remove the tumour. Now, the actress has shared her first vlog revealing her first reaction to the diagnosis.
Dipika Kakar of Sasural Simar Ka fame recently underwent a major surgery. She got diagnosed with a tumour in her liver and it turned out to be malignant. The actress and husband Shoaib Ibrahim then revealed to their fans that she has been diagnosed with stage 2 liver cancer. Later, she underwent a 14-hour-long surgery and was in the ICU for three days. Now, the actress is back home and is recovering. Dipika Kakar shared her first vlog and spoke about everything from diagnosis to surgery.
Dipika Kakar, Shoaib Ibrahim’s first reaction post diagnosis
In a new vlog shared by Dipika Kakar, the Sasural Simar Ka actress thanked all her friends, fans, and family for praying for her. She said that she feels blessed and proud to receive such love. Further, Dipika Kakar revealed her first reaction when she got to know that it is malignant. She explained that Shoaib Ibrahim knew about the reports, however, he did not inform her about it until they reached the hospital. Dipika said that she would never forget the corridor of the hospital where she broke down upon getting to know the result. The actress said, “Maine Shoaib se puccha ki you know what the result of the AFP report is, and he just looked at me and said, that usme thodi gadbad hai. Phir maine dekha toh thodi nahi bohot gadbad thi, and that moment uss corridor mein khade hoke, we both broke down. Shoaib bhi ro diye, unhe hug karke mai bhi rone lagi.”
Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim then broke down again when the doctor explained the results to them. In this tough times, Shoaib stood by Dipika like a pillar of strength. She mentioned that he gave her strength and took care of her like a parent takes care of a child. He ensured that she took her medicines on time. She also mentioned that staying away from son Ruhaan was the most challenging part.
Post the surgery, Dipika Kakar made a post stating that she is free of tumour but her treatment is still on.
