Kapil Sharma and his wife Ginni Chatrath recently opened a café in Canada. It is named Kap’s Café. However, a shocking event took place as an unidentified man opened fire at the café late in the evening on July 10. A video went viral on social media that showed a man, seated inside the car firing at the building of the café. As per the reports, the staff was inside when the incident took place but thankfully, no one got injured in this firing. Reports further claim that the intention was to damage the property. Now, Ginni Chatrath’s team has issued first statement post the attack.
First statement issued over attack by Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath’s Kap’s Cafe team
A post has been made on the Instagram page of Kap’s Cafe. It begins with saying that it is a ‘message from heart’. The statement says that the café was opened with an intention to bring warmth, community and joy through friendly conversations. And it is heartbreaking to see violence at the café. It further reads, “We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up. The team at Kap’s Cafe also acknowledged the DMs and concern shown by the fans and thanked everyone for the kind words. Further, the statement read, “Let’s stand firm against violence and ensure Kap’s Cafe remains a place of warmth and community.”

Who is responsible for the attack?
As per reports, a Khalistani terrorist named Harjit Sigh Laddi has taken responsibility of the attack at Kapil Sharma’s Cafe that is located in Surrey, British Columbia. He is allegedly linked to Babbar Khalsa International and is said to be on NIA’s list of India’s most wanted terrorists. Reportedly, a reward of Rs 10 lakh has also been announced to whoever provides information over Harjit Singh Laddi. Reportedly, he took the responsibility through a social media page stating that the attack was a response to a past remark on made by the comedian on Nihang Singhs on his The Kapil Sharma Show.
