Dhyan Sreenivasa‘s movie Detective Ujjwalan released in May this year. The movie opened to positive response and managed to mint decent money at the box office. Now, it is time for fans to enjoy the movie on OTT. The investigative thriller is directed by Indraneel Gopeekrishna and Rahul G. The movie is backed by Sophia Paul who had produced Malayalam movie Minnal Murali starring Tovino Thomas. Detective Ujjwalan is now available to watch on a prominent OTT platform. The Malayalam-language mystery comedy thriller is now available to watch on Netflix. The film began streaming on OTT platform from July 11. The actor had made the announcement on his Instagram account by sharing the poster of the film that has its release date on Netflix. In the caption, he wrote, “Someone’s lying. Someone’s dying. And Ujjwalan’s watching it all. The coolest detective in town is checking into your screens! Detective Ujjwalan premieres July 11 — only on Netflix. Truth has a new address. And it’s streaming.” His fans expressed excitement over the big announcement. One of the fans also asked if “Is The Hindi Dubbed Version Also Releasing??????” Now that the movie is on Netflix, reviews are also pouring in. One of the netizens called it a ‘well-written crime thriller’.

Dhyan Sreenivasa’s movie revolves around an amateur detective who is known to solve small-town cases. He runs a library in his village and also solves mysteries around petty crimes. However, he is then tasked for solving a major case of serial killer who is targeting people of his village named Plaachikkaavu.
