The Indian film industry is shocked by the heartwrenching loss of veteran Telugu actor and former BJP MLA, Kota Srinivasa Rao. The sad news of his demise came this morning. Srinivasa Rao passed away due to age-related issues on July 13, 2025, two days after his 83rd birthday. Fans mourn the death of the legendary star. Many popular faces from the showbiz industry attended his funeral to pay their respect to the iconic star. Megastar Chiranjeevi was also caught visibly emotional at the loss. He paid his respect and also interacted his Srinivasa’s family. Popular filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli, who is known for his work in Baahubali, attended Srinivasa’s funeral. However, the director stirred up controversy while leaving the funeral. He angrily pushed away a fan who was trying to take a selfie with him.

S.S. Rajamouli was making his way out after paying his last tribute to the legendary actor Kota Srinivasa. Media, along with a massive crowd, were seen with cameras and phones in their hand, surrounding the outer space of the late actor’s house. As the filmmaker walked out, people caught him for pictures. While he made his way towards his car, the crowd blocked him from both sides. Amid that, there was a fan who came near Rajamouli and tried to take a selfie with him. However, the eager fan got too close to the director for a picture, ignoring the sensitive environment. Rajamouli turned and pushed the fan away. Netizens have dropped comments in support of the director, criticizing the act of the fan who overlooked the sensitivity of the circumstances.

S.S. Rajamouli took to his social media account and wrote a heartfelt note on the sad demise of the legendary Telugu actor Kota Srinivasa Rao. “Deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Kota Srinivasa Rao garu. A master of his craft, a legend who breathed life into every character he portrayed. His presence on screen was truly irreplaceable. My heartfelt condolences to his family. Om Shanti,” the director wrote.
