HBO released the first look of the half-giant Rubeus Hagrid for the upcoming Harry Potter series. Fans are excited about it.
HBO is making a buzz on the internet with its first look at the half-giant Rubeus Hagrid, who is played by Nick Frost, in the most highly anticipated Harry Potter series. The friendly giant was originally played by the late Robbie Coltrane in the film franchise. Now, Rubeus Hagrid will be played by Nick Frost, who is known for his roles in Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz. Hagrid is the first magical being Harry meets, introducing him to the wizarding world and revealing his true identity and ancestry, setting the stage and guiding him on his journey at Hogwarts.
What did the picture show?
The picture shows Frost looking like Hagrid, with the shaggy coat, wild hair and the beard. HBOMax upload the image with the caption, ‘Everyone ready? ‘ere we go! Nick Frost has walked his first day in the big boots of Hagrid on the set of the new HBO Original Harry Potter series.’ On seeing the image, fans praised the casting and noted Frost about his humour and said that he is perfect for the role of Hogwarts’ loyal gamekeeper. However, Potterheads are sceptical about it and want it to be perfect in every way.
What did the fans say?
Many shared their opening on social media, and one of the users wrote, ‘I love Nick Frost and he’s a great choice for this role. But… the wig and beard look very unnatural. Makeup artists needs a bit more work on this. It’s a bit cosplaylike.’ Another added, Every photo that comes out just looks like the actor doing a Halloween costume of a movie character we already have seen and love.’
What did Hagrid love?
Hagrid has been a fan favourite over the years. As a gentle giant, he is known for his love of magical creatures and shares a lovely bond with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. He is the Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts.
In the new Happy Potter series, Harry will be played by Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton as Hermoine Granger, Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley, John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, and Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape.
