Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s debut movie Saiyaara has turned out to be a massive hit. The movie has now achieved another milestone at the box office.
Debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda‘s movie Saiyaara is on record breaking spree. The movie is performing very well at the box office. It released on July 18 and since then, it is making waves with its box office numbers. Even over the weekdays, Saiyaara directed by Mohit Suri has not slowed down. Rather, on first Monday and Tuesday, the movie earned more than its opening day business. As Saiyaara is refusing to slow down at the box office, Ahaan Panday-starrer has now beaten Ranbir Kapoor’s movie Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar.
Saiyaara box office collection day 6
Ahaan Panday’s new movie continued to earn in double digits even on its sixth day, i.e., first Wednesday. As reported by Sacnilk.com, Saiyaara made around Rs 21 crore on its day 6. These are still the early estimates and the actual numbers are yet to come in. The movie has zoomed past Rs 150 crore mark with this. The total collection of the film is Rs 153.25 crore. The movie had earned the highest on its first Sunday as it made around Rs 35.75 crore. On first Monday, the numbers dropped to Rs 24 crore. It witnessed a slight jump as on first Tuesday, the movie made around Rs 25 crore. The numbers have now come down to Rs 21 crore.
Saiyaara breaks records
Talking about breaking records, the movie has now beaten Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. As per reports, the romantic-comedy drama had made around Rs 147.28 crore at the box office. Saiyaara is now ahead of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. The movie has also crossed the lifetime collection of Salman Khan’s recently released movie Sikandar.
Aditya Chopra had warned Mohit Suri?
Definitely, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda have received their dream debut with Saiyaara. The film is produced under Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films banner. In one of the interviews, director Mohit Suri revealed that Aditya Chopra was skeptical about making Saiyaara as he believed that the movie won’t work among audience. In an interview with Just Too Filmy, Mohit Suri shared that Aditya Chopra warned him that his movie won’t work as the script is ’25-years old’. The director shared, “He felt only action films were working and that it wasn’t the right time to make this kind of love story.” But Mohit Suri believed in his story and it worked!
