Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri’s starrer film Dhadak 2 is set to hit theatres on August 1, 2025. Fans are excited about the film.
Dhadak, which featured Jahnvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter in key roles had released in 2018. After seven long years, the film is set to return to cinema halls on August 1 with a sequel, Dhadak 2. The movie has been making massive buzz, courtesy its gripping plot, and music. The romantic drama has been written and directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures. The film features Siddhant Chaturvedi, Triptii Dimri, Zakir Hussain and Saurabh Sachdev in key roles.
Is Dhadak 2 the remake of Pariyerum Perumal?
As per reports, Dhadak 2 is the remake of the Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal. It revolves around Nilesh, played by Siddhant Chaturvedi and Vidhi, played by Triptii Dimri, who fall in love but are of different cast. Their caste difference becomes a threat to their relationship. The film is set to release on August 1, and an early review of the movie is out (censor board review).

What did Triptii say about her role in the film?
While talking about the character Vidhi in the film, Triptii said, ‘For me, she is Vidhi. She is not afraid to speak her truth. There is so much to learn from her because she makes you feel empowered. I have been an introvert. I’ve seen and faced things, and not raised my voice against them. For 30 years of my life, I have kept quiet about so many things. I never had the guts to tell people that it’s wrong. I told Shazia that I want to be like Vidhi; that by the end of this film, I should have the courage to speak my truth without being scared of anyone or the outcome. Now, I do stand up for the right things. This film made me open up a lot more.’
However, the earlier film Dhadak earned around Rs 112.98 crore; fans are excited to know if the sequel can beat the earnings of its earlier film.
