Let’s start with something really important…eggs.
Not nutrition — I mean how you store them.
Because apparently, there are two kinds of people in this world: people who put cracked egg shells back in the carton (hi, it’s me 🙋♀️), and people who lose their minds when you do that (hi, that’s Brooks 🙋♂️).
I’m ADHD. I pick the prettiest eggs first, follow no system, and yes…OF COURSE I put the shell back in the carton because dragging it across the kitchen just sounds messy. And eventually I am going to throw the whole carton out so WHY NOT?
Brooks, on the other hand, is a Naval Academy grad. Which means he has a system (or in other words, he is OCD 🤣). He has a rotation. A protocol. I wish I was joking.
But here’s the thing: after 14 years together, I’ve figured out the secret.
Anything I want him to do? I just start doing it wrong. He jumps in and takes over like he’s leading a mission. Laundry, dishes, house projects — if I start it, he finishes it. 🤪
So obviously… we made a video about this.

🌅 Early Morning Walks = Instant Mood Boost
I’ve started walking at 6 a.m. — mainly because it’s the only time Phoenix, AZ isn’t on fire. I leash up Flops (my dog, not my shoes), pop in an audiobook or podcast, and soak in real sunshine before the chaos begins.
It’s made a huge difference. I come home, hop in my infrared sauna, shower, and actually feel like I’m operating on full human energy by 8 a.m.
Mood: elevated. Sun: soaked in. Mental clarity: back online. Highly recommend.

What I’m Eating This Week: Pad Thai Reboot
So .. I was running some errands. Brooks called and asked me to pick something up by “TIDE CLEANERS”.
What I heard was “Thai” not Tide lol and now I’m on a Pad Thai kick. So after ordering it 25 days in a row (kidding but I did order it more than 3 days in a row) I decided I needed to learn how to revise it to a healthier version myself…
Here’s how I clean it up:

Double the protein with shrimp or chicken

Extra veggies like cabbage, sprouts, zucchini noodles, bell peppers

I ask for LESS rice noodles when they are making it

And of course, digestive enzymes. Always.
I eat the protein and veggies, and just a bit of the noodles. It satisfies the craving without the carb crash. 😋
🌊 Where I’m Writing This From
Right now I’m writing to you from San Diego and let me tell you, it’s about 40 degrees cooler than Phoenix.
I lived here for 20 years before moving to the desert, and coming back feels like a breath of fresh, sea-salty air. San Diego is my happy place, especially in the summer. My skin is thriving. My hair is thriving. My mood? Also thriving.
💭 Something to Think About
We weren’t built to live under fluorescent lights with Wi-Fi buzzing in the background 24/7.
Go outside. Feel the sun. Walk your dog. Listen to the birds. Breathe.
Sometimes the most powerful reset is just a few steps out your front door.
