I have generally used a rangefinder when I play, however I rangefinder does not give you everything that you need, and that’s where a handheld I found is better.

As you can see, the SkjyCaddie PRO 4X offers some great features, and these are just a few of what is available, as the review would be significantly longer if I had to list them all. But as we all know the real test is always how it performs on the golf course.
I have been using the SkyCaddie PRO 4X on my home golf course for the past 4+ weeks and so far, it is simply amazing. Since I know almost every distance there, I could tell is the PRO 4X was accurate or not, and it was dead on everything. What I was really sure of was exact carry distances, lay-up distances as I always used a rangefinder which is hard to really get accurate distances to these. The PRO 4X gave me precise distances to lay-up, carry bunkers and streams, and the front, center, and back of every green.
Bottom line, the SkyCaddie PRO 4X is a phenomenal handheld gps. It offers truly everything you could possible need on the golf course, as well as the ability to track your club selections, and 18 hours of battery life. The technology in the PRO 4X is incredible. It is precise, reliable, offers a responsive display, and is the perfect size. The only minor thing missing is that it is not magnetic. I am used to having a magnetic rangefinder, so I would assume this would be also, however with so many really amazing features, the PRO 4X is world class and I’ve yet to see or use anything that offers more information to help you play your best.
