How To Unlock Elena’s OG Outfit

Street Fighter 6’s Year 3 DLC reveal wasn’t just exciting for the returning characters, but it was also hot on the heels of Elena’s release. The infamous healing menace marked the end of the Year 2 DLC with an upgraded moveset and a new look. However, those who prefer something more traditional can unlock her original outfit.

The quickest way to unlock it is by purchasing it within the in-game store using premium currency. For those who’d rather avoid paying for cosmetics or just recently bought the new Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition, you’ll need to maximize Elena’s bond level in the World Tour mode. Certain dialogues and spar matches can net you some points after taking Elena on as a master; however, giving her the right gifts will raise the bond level to 100 in no time at all.

While most gifts only award a point or two, every fighter has a specific item that provides a huge 40-point boost. These cannot be gathered multiple times and are essentially single-use items. Elena’s 40-point gift is the plainly-named Earrings item earned as a reward for completing the “Narumi’s Task” sub-mission. Unlocking this isn’t as difficult as it is for other characters. Not only do you interact with Elena through a separate scenario like Terry and Mai, but everyone you fight is in the 20-30 level range.

Once you’ve fought some people and raised Elena’s style to level nine, return to Reniala Remains and speak with her. She’ll mention a special training routine that serves as the basis for the “Friends of Nature” sub-mission. All you need to do is talk to the nearby NPC named Adhiambo and defeat them in an Extreme Battle involving a rampaging hippo. Talk to Elena again to complete the mission.

Fight more of the NPCs in this area to raise her style to level 10. After you’ve done that, fly back to Metro City and walk towards the wide staircase in the middle of Beat Square. Talking to Narumi will start the “Narumi’s Task” sub-mission, which requires you to beat a level 35 NPC named Mr. Mussal three times. Beating him the third time will end the mission and reward you with some Energy Drink items along with the Earrings.

Giving her the 40-point gift will do a lot of heavy lifting towards unlocking her second outfit, but you won’t be done just yet. The next best gift for Elena is the Stone Statue, which raises her bond level by five points. These can easily be earned by fighting nearby NPCs on the Reniala Remains map and completing their bonus objectives. Remember to check these before a fight so you know what to prioritize.

Both Narumi and Shopkeeper Biz in the Metro City map can also offer a bonus objective that rewards you with a Stone Statue. Narumi will move from the Metro City map to Reniala Remains after you finish the previously mentioned Narumi’s Task sub-mission, which does make it easier to grind this item out in one area. Between the points you get from sparring, certain dialogue choices, and completing Elena-related missions, you might not even need to gather too many Stone Statues. You’ll have Elena’s bond level maximized before you know it as long as you keep interacting and showering her with gifts.

Increasing the bond level to 100 will unlock Elena’s original outfit for free use in the Fighting Ground and Battle Hub-adjacent modes. The same sadly can’t be said for hers or any character’s Outfit 3 – that one is going to cost you some real money.
