With a constant change in tempo that truly defines modern white-ball cricket, exciting rules in the format and a cavalcade of incredible talents- the celebrated Shaheed Veer Pathik Stadium at Greater Noida was until a few hours ago buzzing with interesting and hard-to-avoid cricketing contests in a series that will be talked about until long.
Because recently, just a few hours ago, a brand new season of the famous Pro Corporate League 2025 came to a conclusion. Up until then, for a good period of a little over a week, there was boundless crkdeting entertainment- a melange between sporting endeavours and exhibition of real talent.
The end winner being audiences and those who watched the proceedings of 11-a-side contests on the leading Sports and Entertainment App Sony Liv.
Rather notably, the famous cricket league that promotes Corporate-related cricket teams to have a go and express their boundless cricketing talent brought together boundless cricketing enthusiasts and tons of corporate talents with one aim- to capture the trophy and make waves.
From the idea and conception stage of the Pro Corporate League, its founder Mr. Sachin Gupta, a refined gentleman with massive experience in the Corporate Sports sector, executed, yet again, a great series for cricket fans. And a team, in particular, that you must spare a thought for, is undoubtedly, the Ghaziabad Red Carpet Kings.

Not only did the Red Carpet Ghaziabad Kings team play the semi-finals, each of its playing eleven from the wider cricketing squad exhibited a sense of commitment and pure passion for the game that was truly undeniable in the end. They won, until their final contest, six out of eight games and displayed a sense of consistency needed to prevail in such hyper-competitive tug of wars between the bat and the ball.
They may not have been table toppers, but with a great combination of noted bowling and batting talent, the Ghaziabad Red Carpet Kings exemplified competitive spirit upholding the stronghold of Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad region where it comes to playing the sport mighty well.
Some of the notable names in the competitive Ghaziabad Red Carpet Kings unit included the famous T20 talent, the incredible seam bowling achiever in the form of Anureet Singh, who has played for as many as 3 different teams in the famed Indian Premier League- including Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and the Punjab franchise. Make no mistake, for a bowling attack spearheaded by a talent with no fewer than 258 first-class wickets to his name, Ghaziabad Red Carpet Kings had to contest like its name and they did: like Kings!
The firebrand batters in the form of Dinesh, who hit a marvellous 55 off just 19 against Bhavya Ghaziabad Royals, Jatin, who most notably made 41 off 17 in the same contest, led the show with the bat. Moreover, talents like Anurag Mishra and Sahil Singh, the latter responsible for a fiery and relentless 101 off just 31 deliveries the Ghaziabad Bhawani Tigers just slammed the white ball smashing it to different parts of and beyond the park.
But for sure take cognisance of the fact that the bowling department too, led brilliantly by the champion cricketer Anureet Singh kept up the tempo of the contests all along. The likes of Ziya and Nishant Thakur, left arm fast medium, and right-arm leg break, kept the team in the hunt until the decisive stages of the contest.
What was rather brilliant from Ghaziabad Red Carpet Kings’ point of view was to note that how aggressively and consistently they played each of the contests until the very end before the heartbreaking defeat to Zuo Sports Lucknow altered their course to reaching the finals.
It was never to be.
But in hitting great fiery sixes and boundaries besides demonstrating great technical skill with the bat, the Ghaziabad Red Carpet Kings proved to be exceptional forces against notable and worthy opponents in the Pro Corporate League 2025 such as Lemford Alfa Kings, Ghaziabad Bhawani Tigers, Lazio Saharanpur Warriors and South Delhi Tigers.
The only stable, if one must it that way, that the Kings weren’t able to get the hang of were the competitive and mighty Zuo Sports Lucknow, who reached the finals.
But in what was Ghaziabad Red Carpet Kings’ inaugural season in the PCL 2025, it could be the said that the close-knit unit that always expressed itself honestly on the cricket field, engaging in stern acts with delightful pleasure, such as rampant fifties and even a century, the Kings from Ghaziabad stirred imagination and made sure that fans of cricket walked on the red carpet box office show to seek what they wish from it: great entertainment.
The team’s owner, distinctly dressed with a sense of quiet and poise, Mr Deshank Tyagi would constantly marvel at the team’s achievements and would motivate the group until the end and kept up the morale of his troops all along displaying the very value that camaraderie and a sense of belonging with the team is what eventually matters in the great game of cricket.
