Connor Zilisch just won the NASCAR Xfinity Series regular-season championship, but the real excitement might be off the track. While 12 drivers gear up for playoff battles starting at Bristol Motor Speedway, one team has cooked up something special that perfectly captures the collision of racing and football season.
How Will Ryan Ellis’s Football-Themed Car Stand Out at Kansas?
Ryan Ellis has been having a breakout 2025 campaign in the #71 DGM Racing Chevrolet, finally breaking through for his first top-10 finish this season. Now he’s getting a ride that matches his momentum heading into the second race of the Xfinity Series playoffs.
After the series kicks off at Bristol Motor Speedway, the action moves to Kansas Speedway for the “Kansas Lottery 300” on Sept. 27. That’s where Ellis will debut a football-themed paint scheme courtesy of sponsor Tablo TV, celebrating the NFL season kickoff in unique NASCAR fashion.
NASCAR journalist Toby Christie broke the news, revealing that the special livery comes with an added twist that should get fans excited.
Christie on X wrote, “To celebrate the kickoff of the #NFL season, @TabloTV is bringing a football-themed No. 71 @DGMRacingFL paint scheme for @ryanellisracing to drive at @kansasspeedway in the September 27 #NASCAR Xfinity Series race. Ellis will carry an onboard camera on @TheCW_Sports’ broadcast.”

Fans can access the Tablo TV-sponsored view on The CW App throughout the weekend, watching all the action unfold from Ellis’s perspective. That onboard camera is probably what the California native is most pumped about.
What Makes This Tablo TV Partnership Different?
The onboard camera feature sets this collaboration apart from typical sponsor paint schemes. Fans can access the Tablo TV-sponsored view through The CW App throughout the weekend, getting a driver’s-eye perspective of all the Kansas action. For Ellis, that camera might be the most exciting part of the deal.
“Kansas has always been one of the most fun mile-and-a-half tracks to race at, and I’m thrilled that Tablo is also giving fans a unique perspective with the in-car camera on our No. 71 Chevrolet,” Ellis said. “It’s a great way to show exactly what makes Kansas so exciting, while reinforcing how Tablo delivers the content fans want, whether it’s on the field, at the racetrack, or right from inside our race car.”
Tablo’s business model perfectly fits this kind of cross-sport promotion. The service gives TV fans access to coverage from major networks, including NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, ION, and the CW, under one roof. It delivers nonstop racing, football, and sports action through a one-time subscription model with their Tablo device.
This football-themed scheme isn’t Ellis’s first time behind the wheel of a Tablo TV car, either. Earlier in the 2025 season, the #71 carried Tablo’s colors at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway. Each time, the sponsor brings creative concepts that tie into the track’s personality.
At Nashville, Rich Mar Florist collaborated with Tablo TV to create a Broadway-themed design celebrating Music City’s heritage. The creativity doesn’t stop at Kansas, though. Tablo TV will also sponsor the #71 car at Talladega later in the season, setting up another opportunity for an eye-catching paint scheme concept.
