The Jacksonville Jaguars entered Nashville with an opportunity to rewrite the AFC South standings and left having done exactly that. Their 25-3 dismantling of the Tennessee Titans not only extended Jacksonville’s winning streak to three but also lifted the Jaguars to 8-4, giving them sole possession of first place after Indianapolis fell to Houston earlier in the afternoon.
Jacksonville Lets it Fly
The win also officially eliminated the Titans from playoff contention, closing the door on a season that continues spiraling. For Jacksonville, it was the exact style of performance a division leader is expected to deliver in December: physical, poised, and thoroughly in control from start to finish.
Trevor Lawrence delivered one of his cleanest, most controlled performances of the season. With the offensive line protecting well for most of the afternoon, Lawrence looked sharp, in rhythm, and decisive. He finished 16 of 27 for 229 yards, two touchdowns, and no turnovers, repeatedly breaking open Tennessee’s coverage with precise placement and excellent pocket navigation.

Jakobi Meyers continued to look like a seamless midseason addition. He caught all six of his targets for 90 yards and a touchdown, winning from the slot and outside while providing Lawrence with steady separation in key moments. Meyers’ rapport with Lawrence has grown every week, and Sunday’s outing reinforced his role as the unit’s most reliable possession receiver.
Brenton Strange continued to impress in his first year as the Jaguars’ lead tight end as well. He chipped in three catches for 45 yards and a touchdown, while also making his presence felt as a blocker. His second-quarter touchdown came on the drive, which LeQuint Allen Jr. forced and recovered a fumble on the kickoff immediately after the Meyers score.

The back-to-back touchdowns, as well as a field goal with zero seconds on the clock before halftime, helped Jacksonville seize complete control of the game before the third quarter.
Rookie running back Bhayshul Tuten capped the offensive scoring with a short touchdown run midway through the third quarter, putting the Jaguars ahead 25-3. The substantial lead allowed the Jaguars to chew up the clock until they added another win to their record.
Defense Overwhelms Tennessee’s Young Offense
Jacksonville’s defensive front dictated the game immediately. Josh Hines-Allen delivered his most dominant outing of the season, besting JC Latham the whole game. The fantastic performance ended with two sacks, three hits on the quarterback, and three tackles for loss. He consistently collapsed the pocket on rookie quarterback Cam Ward, forcing rushed decisions and limiting Tennessee’s ability to push the ball downfield.
Another standout was Montaric Brown, who was outstanding on the perimeter, leading the team with seven total tackles and playing tight, physical coverage throughout the afternoon. His discipline in run support and his ability to choke off the Titans’ passing game were pivotal in keeping Tennessee from establishing any offensive rhythm.

Andrew Wingard provided the physical tone on the back end. The veteran safety finished with two pass breakups and played aggressively downhill in run support. He also had a sack wiped away by a penalty, but the impact on the rep was unmistakable. His performance anchored a secondary that held Ward to 141 passing yards on 38 attempts.
Jacksonville’s defensive effort was complete. They held Tennessee to just 188 total yards, forced two turnovers, and allowed only a single field goal. It marked the second time in three games that the Jaguars held an opponent under 200 total yards, continuing their sharp defensive ascent since Week 11 against the Chargers.
Momentum Shifts in the AFC South
With this victory, Jacksonville has fully reclaimed momentum in a suddenly shifting AFC South race. The Jaguars are 3-1 in their last four games, while the Colts are 1-3 in that stretch and are now chasing a team that has hit its stride on both sides of the ball. They have passed Indianapolis in chances to make the playoffs, according to PFSN’s Playoff Meter.
Week 14 brings the biggest matchup of the Jaguars’ season. Indianapolis comes to Jacksonville with an identical 8-4 record, but the trajectory of both teams could not be more different. The Jaguars are on a winning streak and have won 10 out of 10 of their last meetings against the Colts at home.
If Jacksonville can match the physicality, balance, and defensive intensity they showed in Nashville, their second-half surge may only be getting started. The division lead is now in Duval, and the Jaguars have a chance to stretch that lead against the very team they just overtook.
