VIDEO. Carlos Alcaraz sharpens his game with Ben Shelton before Wimbledon quarterfinal clash

Carlos Alcaraz took to the practice courts at Wimbledon alongside fellow pro Ben Shelton ahead of his highly anticipated quarterfinal against British hope Cameron Norrie. The session wasn’t just about warming up — it was designed with tactical precision. Since both Shelton and Norrie play left-handed, Alcaraz used the opportunity to adapt to the angles, spin, and rhythm typical of lefty opponents.

Learning from a rising American talent

Ben Shelton, known for his explosive serve and agile movement, brought exactly the kind of challenge Alcaraz needs to prepare for Norrie’s crafty baseline game. Practicing with Shelton allowed Alcaraz to fine-tune his footwork and shot selection under pressure, especially when dealing with left-handed patterns and cross-court forehands.
