While Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was just released last month, it seems Konami is already looking ahead to more remakes in the future.
Tech issues aside, the latest entry in the franchise has been a hit for Konami, and it’s not even complete yet, as the game’s Fox Hunt mode is due for release sometime this year.
Aside from working on the multiplayer mode that should be free for everyone who bought Metal Gear Solid Delta, Konami is also seeking feedback on what gamers want to see from the franchise in the future.
Konami’s Post-TGS 2025 Survey For Metal Gear Solid Surfaces Early
At this month’s Tokyo Game Show, Konami has a livestream planned, which will focus on the Fox Hunt multiplayer mode. Apparently, a survey is set to be released once the livestream finishes, asking fans what they thought of the mode and more.
For some reason, the survey has made its way online already, and some of the questions asked are a bit telling. Thanks to the Metal Gear Network X account, we have an early look at the questions asked.
Chief among the questions is #10, which asks fans to select which Metal Gear title they want to see remade next.
The titles include Metal Gear, MGS2, and all the way to MGSV: The Phantom Pain. You can check out the survey for yourself here. While not an outright announcement that more remakes are being made, the fact that Konami is asking gamers about it means they’re thinking about it at the very least.
While we’re not counting on a new remake announcement at TGS, since Konami will want all the focus to be on the Fox Hunt mode, I wouldn’t be surprised if the company announces a new remake early next year.
Given how the Silent Hill 2 remake panned out, and now that it’s confirmed Bloober Team is working on another Silent Hill remake, perhaps the Metal Gear franchise is the next one getting multiple remakes.
Released on Aug. 28, 2025, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater managed to not only bring the nostalgia, but also improve the action game where it counts.
Our review states, “Konami played its hand well by keeping all that made the game great, and just replacing the more dated, practical bits. From crawling around in the mountains to fighting Soviet Spider-Man in the jungle, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is fun to play and actually feels good.”
In other Metal Gear Solid Delta news, it seems the game will be crossing over with free-to-play multiplayer shooter Delta Force, which is surprising to see.
