Aamir Khan’s reaction wherein he slammed the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22 was delayed. For the unversed, he had shared his thoughts over a week later following India and Pakistan’s agreement on a ceasefire post India’s retaliatory military attack on terror camps in Pakistan under Operation Sindoor. The star recently explained why he took so long to share his perspective on the attack.

During a recent interview with India TV, Aamir called the deadly terror attack ‘cruel’ and explained how it put forth the terrorists’ “cowardice that they entered our country and fired bullets on common men”. He added, “They asked their religion and then fired bullets. What does that mean”.

In the same interview, Aamir also reminded everyone that he showed no qualms in speaking about the Pahalgam terror attack at an event which he had attended during the same time. Aamir referred to the attack not only on our nation, but also on our unity.

Many also claimed that Aamir shared his reaction on the ghastly attack just because his film Sitaare Zameen Par‘s release date was nearing. In his reaction, Aamir laughed and asked if he was doing anything wrong if he spoke about how our forces delivered a befitting response. “Should I think about the film or about our forces at that time?” He said if it was wrong if he had kept mum just because his film was about to release. Hence, he decided to speak about it openly.

Aamir Khan further clarified that Sitaare Zameen Par trailer releasing about 12 hours after he shared his official statement was nothing more than a coincidence. Aamir maintained that the trailer was supposed to release way earlier, but he cancelled it because of the attack on India.

Aamir also admitted to feeling both “anger and pain” in his heart too. In fact, he was so depressed that he didn’t step out of home for days. This is a big story in entertainment news.

Aamir also defended Islam and explained that it doesn’t promote or endorse violence. “No religion asks you to kill people. I don’t consider these terrorists Muslims because it’s written in Islam that you can’t kill any innocent human, can’t strike a woman or a child.”
